Increase Concentration: The Power of the Right Music
Music has a lot of fantastic benefits because it triggers emotions.
Really inspiring songs are the ones that leave us feel understood, heard or that get us to smile, laugh or cry.
Just like we can see something beautiful, touch something that just feels incredibly nice, taste delicious things and even smell stimulating smells, we can hear music that makes us feel fantastic.
There are certain patterns, depending on the speed, rhythm, and lyrics that will affect you differently.
Generally speaking, faster speeds, quicker rhythms, and uplifting lyrics tend to create more positive emotions, and vice versa.
There is music that is good for any situation, it just depends on what you wish to achieve.
When it comes to picking music to concentrate to, we also have to consider what concentration is.
Our mind always works at full capacity, at least in a conscious way.
We cannot have no thoughts.
Even Meditation Teachers struggle with having their mind be completely silent (most say that even 5 seconds of actual silence, is a huge achievement), which is why they do not focus on complete silence, but on their breath instead.
