Habits that reduce your productivity

  1. Thinking too much about the work and results. When you think about the work you need to do or the results you want to achieve it binds you. We all know the feeling of having so much to do that we try to run away by sleeping an hour or watching a movie just to get a momentary escape from the self-inflicted stress. Instead of doing this simply stop thinking and start acting. Every minute you waste thinking ends up costing you 6 hours over the course of the year, so just work! Do not allow yourself to fall victim to negative thought spirals and stop them before they truly get started!
  2. Running after your feelings. We will only get up when we feel rested, only work in our free time when it suits us and never do things that are uncomfortable because it makes us feel bad. So much of our daily activities are blocked simply because we “do not feel like it”. The only way for you to change this to make the activity not optional. Make what you do more important than how you feel about it and you will create less moments in which you look back thinking what would have happened had you only worked a bit harder.
  3. Thinking too small. Are you truly, honestly motivated by the thought of having $1,000? Is that something to strive…
