Innate Joy & Created Joy: Finding The Right Career

What is it that you love? What is it that you have enjoyed doing when you needed to do nothing?

When you had the freedom to choose anything, when you had no pressures and no responsibilities, what was it that you did with your time?

Either answer those questions or these:

What is it that brings you joy in any moment? How did you create fun as a child?

Can you connect a sense of purpose or a bigger picture to what you are doing in the moment?

To find the right career you have to either find a career that brings you joy or purpose or become a person that can find joy or purpose in anything you do and thereby create the right career.

That is to say that there are certain career paths out there that you are more naturally inclined towards, but you can theoretically be right for any job as long as your inner workings are in order.

Imagine, for instance, the happiest, most carefree person in the world. Or imagine someone that used to exist.

Maybe you are thinking of the Dalai Lama, maybe of Mahatma Gandhi, or maybe of someone else entirely.

Either way, could you see these people having fun in any job?
