Keep Your Goals — How To Stick To Your New Year’s Resolutions This Year
Restart.
At this point in the year, most people will have already “failed” their New Year’s Resolutions.
But, to be fair, that is not necessarily a bad thing, nor is it the end.
Most people simply do not know how to set good Resolutions.
Many people will set a Resolution that should make up for last years.
But what makes them think that if they could not do the easier one last year, that they will suddenly be able to do a harder one this year?
You might have run into the same problem.
Likely you set a Resolution that was way too hardcore, not allowing any room for error, and therefore you just invited failure in.
You created a self-fulfilling prophecy that is bound to end in failure.
My suggestion for you is not to change, nor to set a new Resolution or even to give up.
My suggestion is to embrace the failure when it comes.
The thing about goals is that we are often too hardcore or too soft when it comes to them.
We either do not push ourselves enough or push ourselves so much we cannot keep up.
