Learn To Focus: The Garden Of Your Mind
In your mind there exists a garden.
This garden grows new plants every day.
Some days you find beautiful flowers, other times fields of prickly roses, and other days you even see that the garden is trying to grow massive trees.
The plants you find each day are the tasks that lie ahead of you.
When you open your eyes to the day ahead it’s like you are opening the gates to the garden to see what plants need tending today.
You may not be in control what plants you find, but you are responsible for the care of every single plant that is trying to sprout in your garden.
You look around, grab the empty bucket that sits next to the door, and make your way down the hill where you find a lake.
This lake holds the only water source; It represents the energy you have for each task.
The problem is that this lake is limited to a certain amount of water every day.
Looking at the plants in your garden and the depth of your lake, you often find that you do not have the resources to tend to every plant that requires water.
On most days the lake simply runs dry before you can tend to every plant.
