Overcoming Low Self-Esteem — My Personal Story and The 3 Tips I Have For You

Being always on the move with my family and being rather skinny for my age, I always felt like people disregarded me and I never had the time to develop any truly deep friendships.

I was part of many cliques in school, but that also added to the fact that I never felt like I belonged which made it hard to feel truly empowered within myself.

It was like I had to reinvent myself with every move and in every clique which made me spread myself so thin that the slightest negative remark about me would crush my self-esteem.

Of course, the problem with that was that different cliques valued different things and I wanted to be liked by all which was an impossible task.

As I grew smarter my chaotic friends would tell me to live in the moment, and as I was living more in the moment my smart friends would zoom ahead in their academics.

Now, this was already pretty deep into my self-esteem issues and was a way for me to try to cope with them, which obviously did not work.

At this point, however, I could not figure out where exactly the low self-esteem came from so I just had to try something.
