Raise Your Life: 9 Steps That Lead To A More Competent Self

  1. Hold Yourself To A Higher Standard — The things you do and do not do are all based on what you allow and do not allow yourself to get away with. If you want to do more, then you must raise your standard. It cannot just be a “must”. It has to be something you do not have a choice in. There can be no other way.
  2. Take It One Step At A Time — Don’t overburden yourself with a dozen different things you want to implement. Stick to one thing at a time. Work on that until it becomes second nature to you and then, and only then, do you add another thing.
  3. Set Priorities — Never ever switch something of a lower priority for a higher one. That is how you ensure regret, failure and misery. Figure out what your priorities are, what means the most to you in life, and spend most of your time doing the things that matter most; and, as often as you can, try to spend your time on things of a higher priority instead of a lower one.
  4. Plan your Day — There’s a lot of time that goes away, a lot of time that disappears in the midst of life. If you make a plan you will get 24 hours more a week on average (as tested by various of my clients). Plan your day, get your time back, and control your day rather than being controlled by it.
P.S. Taking control of your day does NOT mean it has to be difficult. You can enjoy it
