To become the best you need to be able to work at your best.

This means using your time effectively and being in the best possible state for as long as you can.

Spending 1 hour working at your A-game is probably as effective as working 2 hours at your B-game or 4 hours at your C-game (the exact numbers may be different, but these numbers serve as a very solid baseline).

The worse you feel, the less you will get done.

We all know this from our own bad days compared to our good days. While the day itself may have been roughly the same objectively, we did things with a very different intention because of how we felt on an internal level.

We know that our best days are not the best because of the situations we encounter but because of how we encounter them.

The question is: When are we working at our A-game? When are we at our best?

Many people try to force themselves to work really long hours, hoping that by just putting in time they can get more done.

And, while true, it is not effective.

Assuming we sleep for 8 hours a day and take 3 hours for bathroom breaks, getting ready, and eating throughout the day, we are left with around 13 hours every day.
