Commitment is a sought after thing.

The discipline to achieve ones goals, to be totally committed to them, and to do whatever it takes is something hard to find these days.

It’s what makes us love superheroes and the main characters of most stories: Their undivided discipline and drive towards a goal.

Be that to save a friend in need, to find a lost treasure or to save the world from destruction, heroes and heroines of all kinds stay so committed to their goals that they will die for them.

The difference between us and these heroes is that we simply never formed that strong of a bond with our own goals.

We want to achieve them, yes, but we would not die for them.

In most cases, we would not even fight for them that long.

We all think we would, but when the working out gets too difficult, when the work gets too burdensome and the activities to uncomfortable we quickly abandon our goals.

The Commitment to your goals stems from the connection you form with it.

If you want to truly work for a goal and be utterly committed then you must create a connection to the goal that beats all discomfort and difficulty you may encounter.
