Reaching Success: Why Some People Reach It And Others Don’t
When I used to play video games 8 hours or more a day I realized that no one ever got past a certain level of skill in those games.
Everyone had a certain, pre-set natural talent for certain games, but this usually didn’t get them too far. When the natural growth slowed down most people quit.
They went on to a new game because they did not want to take the extra steps.
To get better they would have to get tutoring, coaching and practice specific parts of their gameplay, something no one wanted to do.
Look at any game statistics of professionals and you will find that the people that succeed played their one game for longer than most everybody else.
They put in more hours, more games, more matches and more training behind the scenes.
(This is true for any sport, musical instrument, job, career, and basically every other skill.)
Another example are people that go to the gym to workout and lose weight.
A lot of people start off strong, and everyone has good ideas. They commit to regular routines, try hard and are motivated.
But the only people that actually succeed are the ones that persistently and consistently keep going to the gym, even when…
