Slow Down —7 Ways To Elongate Your Days

  • Meditate — Everything about Meditation encourages taking a step back and slowing down. The basic exercise among all of Meditation is to breathe deeply and slowly. After now over 10 years of meditating on and off I can say that no matter what happens, if I do not meditate, I will notice. I will feel more stress, more anxiousness and it all seems like time just runs past.
    Learn to meditate, even if it is just 10 minutes a day. That will be enough to get life to slow down.
    Most of life moves past us because we are not aware of the time we spend on things. If you can increase your self awareness you will increase the time you have each day… or it will feel that way at least!
  • Go Outside — In nature everything slows down. Not because nature is slow, but because we avoid the constant bombardment of things in our day-to-day lives. Go outside and sit on a bench for 10 minutes. Those 10 minutes will feel longer than most hours in your day. Why? Because you are present.
  • Reduce Time In Front Of The TV & PC — Action Trailers! Attention seeking Commercials! Entertainment in the most mesmerizing form! All of that and more will you find in the worlds of television and online. There is so much going on every minute that you do not have the time to stop paying attention.
