Stop Getting Distracted: A Simple Productivity Hack
Focus on doing what you can right now.
Stop looking towards tomorrow, next week or next year and just focus on now.
Let everything else go.
What can you do right now?
Try to think about doing something for just 5 minutes.
In those 5 minutes, could you read a few pages in that Self-Improvement book? Could you answer a single E-mail? Could you learn just one more Vocabulary word?
Start with that and do not allow your mind to go further.
It’s just about the next 5 minutes.
Tomorrow is a new day.
It’s a challenge that hasn’t come yet.
For better or for worse, tomorrow isn’t here!
And if you procrastinate now that doesn’t mean you will do more tomorrow.
In fact, everything that happens after the next few seconds is not written in stone yet.
The next moment has not arrived yet, so stop worrying about it.
Expecting that you know how you will react, what you will do, or that you cannot handle what your future holds is a kind of hubris as you claim to know the future.
