Take Better Breaks — How To Truly Recharge In Mere Seconds
The best way to take breaks is by doing absolutely nothing!
It is a break so take a break!
- Turn your chair 180° and just sit. Don’t do anything and just enjoy the silence of an empty, motionless room for a while.
- Take a deep breath, walk around the room casually, and daydream a little for yourself.
- Take a walk outside, enjoy nature, and listen to the songs of the birds.
- Put on your favorite instrumental music, lean back, and close your eyes.
- Move to another room/chair, open your favorite book, and indulge in another world.
The only thing on your agenda for the 10-minute breaks should be to do nothing.
Not to do something else, not to get anything else done, but just relax.
Ideally you spend this time completely resting your mind.
Too many people try to fill their break-time with time-wasters and then do not feel truly relaxed because they never actually shut off.
Everything you do, everything that seems like a task to finish, is another thing that will occupy your mind and won’t allow you to relax.
