#1: Finding Joy

Children are the most persistent humans on the planet. They will not give up on what they want, will lie, cheat and get as creative as possible, throwing all their pride to the side just to get some candy at the end of the aisle.

If they can show that much determination for something so small, imagine what you could do with the same kind of Persistence, knowing what you know now.

The thing is, most of them get what they want, even if they have to abandon their pride, have to face their parents anger, or risk their own health and well-being.

We forget this persistence when we grew up because we started to compete and fail over and over again throughout our life.

These failures, and the consequences of our other actions, caused us to be much more cautious.

We abandon things well before we have to truly risk anything, and would rather give up on something than be persistent if it becomes too hard to do.

When a path closes we try to look for a way out of our commitments, rather than finding another way. But when we were children we unknowingly put our lives on the line for a cookie!
