Many people swear on smartphones being a fantastic tool to increase your productivity, but the best way to use your smartphone to get more done is to turn it off.

You are more productive when you do something instead of being on your phone!

Of course, there are things you can only do on your phone or do faster on it, but most people use their phones as a distraction.

Most of the important tasks are not done on your phone.

That being said, the smartphone can still be a helpful tool.

Just make sure that it remains a tool that you control and not the other way around.

  1. Set More Alarms. The best app your phone has is the simple alarm-clock. With it you can remind yourself of certain tasks, including being present, being intentional and actually getting some work done. We do not not do something because we do not want to, but rather because we forget.
  2. How to use it: Set an alarm once every hour that says “Why am I doing what I am doing right now?” and think about it. This usually snaps you out of time-wasters and back into action.
  3. Delete Everything Not Work-Related From Your Phone. As much as you like to play Candy Crush while sitting on the toilet, just having this little app on…
