The Best 10-Step-Process For Achieving Your Goals
3 min readJul 24, 2024
- Set The Ideal Goal — What do you want to ideally achieve? Do not worry about what is realistic or achievable, what is probable or plausible, and go full out. What would you wish for? That should be your ideal goal and the assumed goal to achieve. Know that every goal will seem grand, and most will seem impossible at first, but set them anyway.
- Divide It Into The Smallest, Daily Steps — Once you have set it, it is time to divide this goal into the smallest possible steps. If you started today, what would be the bare minimum to achieve that goal eventually? Give yourself as much “benefit-of-the-doubt” as you can, meaning, lower the small steps as much as possible. That is your daily goal.
- Forget About The Ideal Goal — After you have created the daily goals: Let go of the ideal goal. Completely forget about it. Let go of your need to achieve anything by a certain date and just focus on what you can do today. Trust that your plan is good enough to get you close to the ideal goal, but do not measure your progress against it. Forget about the end as much as you can.
- Focus On Every Moment — For now, focus on just right now. Do not worry about what you should achieve this month, this week or even today. What can you do right now? Can you work an hour? How about squeezing in 5 minutes? Do what you can in the moment…
