The Best Brain Hack For More Positivity: Following The Path Of Least Resistance
Our brains work on electrical impulses, whenever a thought is sent out, it is merely a electrical charge flying through your neurons.
When one of our neural pathways get’s used more and more often our body forms a myelin sheath around the axons (the main part) of these neurons.
This allows the electrical impulses to skip along the axon rather than having to travel all the way down (Details can be found here: Myelin: An Overview) due to the sheath forming certain nodes to which the impulses can “jump” to.
Basically, the thought travels faster down an axon covered in Myelin.
Now, all we have to do is put two and two together and we can see that the more you think a certain thought, the higher the chances that you will think that thought in the future!
Do to the Path of Least Resistance being the path with the most Myelin, it would make sense that when we think of something more often, we will think about it more often in the future.
Let’s just look at an example:
Person A thinks a lot of negative thoughts, they believe the world is out to get them, that everything is unfair, that they have no power, that they are not very good-looking and that they will never…
