Scenario #1: It’s very late in the evening. You’ve had a full day of work behind you, went to the gym, exercised, cooked dinner, cleaned a bit, and now you just want to take a short rest on your bed.

It was an exhausting day and you slip into the warm embrace of your bed.

As you lie there for a while you get jolted up by a thought: You didn’t do the one thing you promised yourself to do yet!

Do you get up again?

Do you push your comfort away for the sake of your own word? Or do you say you will do it tomorrow? After all, you are tired and it does make more sense to do this important thing when rested.

Do you honor your commitments to yourself or do you submit to your emotions and your lack of energy?

Scenario #2: You’re at your work as you get called into your boss’ office for a performance review; You failed.

Your boss says they have no choice but to fire you. You did not cut it.

How do you react?

Do you accept this or deny this? Do you blame it on yourself or the world?

And, most importantly, how long does it take for you to act again? Do you sit at home wallowing in self-pity for a week or do you immediately start applying yourself to…
