The Best Way To Improve Your English (Or Any Language)

The best way to improve your vocabulary, grammar and your language skill overall is simply to spend more time around English in whatever way you can.

• Read more books in English.
• Start watching movies in English (subtitles recommended).
• Watch series and YouTube videos in English (subtitles recommended).
• For even more of a challenge watch movies, videos & series in a language you do not understand with English subtitles only.
• Listen to English Music.
• Write in English.
• Talk English with everyone who understands it.

The more time you spend in English the more likely it will be that your vocabulary will grow.

For me, it grew dramatically when I wrote more and more and more.

Eventually I came to a point where I didn’t have any difficulty articulating myself anymore, but still found that there were some words in German that would be a better fit to what I tried to say.

Instead of leaving it as a mediocre sentence I instead translated the right word or started to look for both synonyms and antonyms for words until I found the best fit.
