The Biggest Truth To Keeping Yourself Motivated

In trying to keep yourself motivated you often hold on so tightly that you crush any motivation trying to come through.

You do not have to feel motivated to do anything!

Or rather:

Anything and everything you do already stems from some form of motivation!

You are motivated to go to the bathroom by the feeling in your bladder, are motivated to eat due to the hunger set in by your stomach, and are motivated to binge-watch a series on Netflix by your Flight Response to keep the fear, worry or discomfort of something else at bay.

The only thing you can do is attempt to redirect that motivation.

The biggest truth, therefore, is not to try to be motivated!

The problem is our concept with what motivation is.

We believe it to be this grand feeling of ambition, desire and drive. Anything less than an extreme version of those feelings and we consider ourselves “not motivated”.

But what if you were just to take the simplest form?

When you need to go to the bathroom, for instance, there is no grand feeling of ambition, desire or drive.

You do not go to the bathroom full of energy, imagining yourself to be the best you can…
