Real self-confidence comes from being your own favorite person and not taking yourself overly serious.

People that have high self-confidence are some of the easiest going people in the world. They do not care what anyone else thinks and are completely comfortable in their own skin!

One of my favorite, examples is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who is one of those people that does not take himself serious at all.

Coming from the sport of wrestling, where it seems like all people have this fake confidence they try to emit, Dwayne Johnson went on to be in movies like “The Toothfairy” where he wears a pink tutu and has fairy wings…

And, you know what? He is able to smile about it, laugh about it and he does even more crazy roles. He even sings in the new Disney movie “Moana”.

That is true self-confidence!

Realize the difference between “confidence” and “self-confidence” here.

Confidence comes from feeling good about oneself, whereas self-confidence comes from feeling good about oneself only based on oneself.

The difference here is that regular confidence can be based on external factors, while self-confidence is always independent of the outside world.
