The Hardest Thing To Do In Life

This life is yours and yours alone.

No one is responsible for it other than you.

All the mistakes you made, all the beautiful decisions and all the horrible ones, the pain, suffering, smiles and joy are all on you.

And while you can turn to anyone else and point the finger saying they could have changed your life, it still falls to you in the end.

For, no matter who could have done something, your day still ended the way it did, for better or for worse.

Of course the rich man or woman sitting in their office made of glass could turn your life around.

Of course they could hand you a million dollars, of course they could give you a job or pay for your life, luxuries and all. But that is not happening.

That is not your life, no matter how deserving of it you are or feel.

Your life is what it is and it does not matter who could have done something about it.

Because, deep inside, you understand that you could have also changed it all.

You know you could have done so much more so long ago, could have worked so much harder or taken such a different path.

You had the power to forgive and forget, to love instead of hate and to act instead of…
