The Magic In The World
“Parting your soup is not a miracle, Bruce. It’s a magic trick. A single mom who’s working two jobs and still finds time to take her kid to soccer practice, that’s a miracle. A teenager who says “no” to drugs and “yes” to an education, that’s a miracle. People want me to do everything for them. But what they don’t realize is *they* have the power. You want to see a miracle, son? Be the miracle.” — God, Bruce Almighty
I think this quote sums it up extremely nicely.
Magic is something that exists everywhere, we just take it for granted because we know how it works!
Much like a Magicians magic that looses its appeal once you figure out it’s all tricks and gimmicks you loose the belief that regular things are magical once you know how they work.
We grow so accustomed to technology and to being skeptical that we do not think in terms of “magic” anymore, but that does not mean it doesn’t exist.
Just think about this computer screen right now.
Notice the dimensions it has, and the colors it portrays.
Notice how you can be connected to someone on the other side of the world and that all this information is stored “online”.
We know this isn’t magic, but most of us also do not truly know how it works.
