The Most Important Thing In Life: Freedom

In my life what I value most is Freedom.

Not the conventional freedom, although that is quite nice, but rather the Freedom from myself.

I value having the courage to be myself and not to restrict myself to please others, the freedom to do what I know is best for me even if I do not want to do it, and the freedom to act in my best interests without concerning myself with my fragile ego.

I value being free of worrying about unknown futures, free of being ashamed for events that have long passed, and value being free of any and all judgements from others and myself.

I value feeling like I can do what I want, when I want, just because I choose to.

To me, the freedom to live life the way I want to without holding back, means the most to me.

That, in some form, requires a bit of money, but in most scenarios it requires courage.

It is scary being yourself and doing what you want, especially if what you want is not generally accepted by your environment.

It is even harder if you want things for which you have to walk through a long, murky stretch of hard work that you do not want to do.

It is not so much about having freedom, but about taking it.
