The Problem with Reaching Your Goals: How to Stay Committed

Today is another day of grinding.

You committed yourself to work on your goal every day for a year at the beginning of 2021 and you have been relatively consistent.

Yes, there have been a few rough days, you may have even skipped a day or two, but you keep trying.

However, you do notice it getting tougher.

With every day of looking at the same number on the scale, with another day where you worry about your bank balance, another day without a job, or another day lived alone or disliking yourself you have begun to question whether the goals are even worth it.

You put in so much effort already and have gotten so little in return.

Over time, the drive you had for that goal fades away.

You do not reaffirm your reason, do not daydream about what it would be like once you reach that goal and never celebrate the little victories but always blame yourself when you do not do enough.

Soon you slow down on your progress. The rest days become more frequent, the work becomes less consistent, and the times you take up the courage to do something new dwindle.

Before long you look back and realize that you have not worked on your dream in months. You have
