The Problem With “Wasted Time”

Looking back we always think we could have spent our time so much better.

But that is mainly because we do not want to do any work for our lives.

When we think about how much we could have done in the past it is, in a way, avoiding the work we would have to do now.

Changing the past would change the present without having to go through that struggle from then until now.

But we cannot change the past.

Time wasted is time wasted.

Nothing we do now will make that go away.

The only thing we can do to stop feeling like we wasted our time is to take the responsibility now so that our future self does not feel the same way.

But that’s hard…

We know what we should do.

We know we should work out, should work harder, and should go outside more often.

We know we should eat healthier, should spend more time with our families and read more.

We know we should do all of these things… but we don’t want to.

That is why we didn’t do it in the past and why we are not wanting to do it now.

If we were to do it now it would mean that we would have to put in effort.
