The Process That Helped Me Break All My Bad Habits
4 min readMay 8, 2024
I broke a lot of different habits in my life, all with very different reasons:
- I Stopped eating Junk Food because it always made me feel horrible afterwards. Yes, it still tastes great, but the awful feeling afterwards is not worth it anymore. Instead I started cooking and eating healthier. It does take more time but I feel far better because of it. (Although I will admit to having junk food still once a month.)
- I used to go to McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, or Burger King every day. - I Stopped Staying up Late because it ruined my mornings which ruined my days which ruined the things I wanted to accomplish in those days. Not having a good start in the day caused me to be sluggish and demotivated for the rest of the day, something that I didn’t want to deal with anymore.
- My average sleep schedule at the time was 3 a.m. — 11 a.m. or noon. - Stopped Watching TV mainly because the commercials annoyed me to no end. Why would I spend 30 minutes watching a 20-minute show and then ads for 10 minutes? That’s literally wasting 1/3 of my time!
- At the height of this bad habit I watched all of ‘Friends’ in a week.
These are just a few of the daily habits I used to have, but there were many more that I stopped doing.
