The Secret Of Top Students
It’s easy to say that smart students are just smart and that is why they get good grades.
This makes those of us who get worse grades feel less responsible for getting good grades, as it’s all about the trait/talent you either have or do not have.
However, smart students aren’t necessarily all that smart…
When they perform on a stage, such as during an exam, it may seem as though they are just naturally gifted, but when you look behind the scenes you see the crazy amount of work they put in.
I had many smart friends in high school who joined honors programs and what I noticed was that the smartest of my friends would always be squeezing in just a bit more time to prepare.
Many of them started to study as soon as they could, would often arrive to school earlier and stay later to get more done, and use their free time to squeeze in whatever study time they could manage without being too drained.
While I looked at the calendar and relaxed as I still had a month, or even just a week left, they saw it as an opportunity to grind.
And while I did think they were crazy every time they did this, I also got jealous every time I saw their grades.
