The Sure Way To Build Habits: Do What You Can
Just Do It.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
That’s it, that’s the secret.
The best way to develop the habit is to do it as often as you possibly can.
It never stops to suck to sit down and do what you need to do, but it does suck a little less, hurt a little less and becomes a little bit easier every time.
Now, if you want to develop a habit I know there are about a billion tips out there for you to use.
From eating healthy, drinking a lot of water, to having a schedule, an accountability buddy or setting alarms or using one of the thousands of apps out there.
You can motivate yourself, inspire yourself or draw on your anger to get you to do it.
You can remember your reason for developing the habit or hire someone to help you find it.
And you can remove all distractions from your life and only add positive reminders, but in the end it still depends on what you do.
That being said, I want you to take a good look at what you have done so far, at what has worked, what hasn’t and apply everything that worked for you and only that.
