I used to be a very shy kid.

Up until very recently I could not even make a phone call to the doctor without having to pump myself up beforehand, much less talk to a stranger or engage in any deep conversations.

I was terrible at accepting compliments, sold myself short and blamed any successes I had on the environment around me.
