Tips For Falling Asleep And Stopping Overthinking

- Use Your imagination — One of my favorite things to do to fall asleep peacefully is to imagine some fantasy scenario in which I am the hero. This distracts me well enough and is incredibly satisfying so that I do not think about the difficulties of life as I drift off into the dream world.
- Read A Book — Get lost in another world or story, even if just for a little while. This will help put your mind into a whole new frame for the time being, and will last long enough to put you to sleep.
- Meditate — There are countless sleep meditations on YouTube you can listen to that will help you stop thinking and falling asleep. Personally, I recommend Jason Stephenson (Jason Stephenson — Sleep Meditation Music).
- Recount Things You Are Grateful For — You don’t really have to stop overthinking as long as you think about some nice and happy things!
- Get Up — If something truly is bothering you then get up and do something about it. That is far better than staying in bed hoping it will go away on it’s own. (Example: Having to pee in the middle of the night).
- Wake Up At The Same Time — 7 days a week, wake up at the same time. it is the mixed schedule that often screws people over and makes them unable to sleep. If you wake up at the same time every day without fail you can go…
