Untapped Potential: A Take On Being Happy Being Human
First of all, realize that you just being here is a miracle.
The chance of you being born is somewhere between 1/40,000,000 and 1/500,000,000,000 based on conception statistics alone.
Even if we say it is a 1/40,000,000, that is already extremely low, but now think about the chance of your parents even meeting.
What about the probability of them falling in love? Deciding to have kids? And what about their parents?
The chance decreases exponentially with each generation.
Given that humans have existed for quite a few generations the probability that you are born is infinitely close to 0.
That, alone, is a miracle that will never, ever, be repeated.
Second, consider that everything we do, every job that exists, is essentially there to improve the lives of everyone.
Every job, every bit of money you make, everything we humans do started from trying to improve the quality of life for someone.
And yes, there are those that abuse the system that this created, but there are also those that go the extra mile.
