What Do I Want To Become — A Unique Perspective
When I was 9 I wanted to be a Marine Biologist. My dream was it to be able to communicate with Dolphins and whales, as I thought they were the most amazing animals.
Then, when I turned 16 I wanted to become a Let’s Player, and just play video games for a living because I thought that would be the best way to enjoy life.
At 22 I wanted to become an Architect and at 23 a Psychologist. Now I am a Life Coach and a Writer, but I honestly cannot say I’ll stay one forever, and it really does not matter.
Whatever career path life takes me is probably going to be better than the one before, and hence I will most likely be happy with it in the end.
I trust myself enough at this point not to make a wrong decision in what I will do for a living, but I suppose that does not really answer what I want to become then.
At this point in time I do not think I should define myself by my career path or what I do for a living. Yes, it is a big part of my life, but it is not who I am.
I would much rather focus on who I become and what that will mean in the end than on a set career path, as that can always change.
I suppose the best way to answer the question of “What do I want to become” would be to say: Happy.
