What Is Self-Worth Determined By?
Imagine you are building a house for every different thing you put your time into.
A house for gaming, beauty, school, relationships, love, work, hobbies, etc.
In which house would you feel safest? Which house would be the most stable?
Self-worth is determined by how you view yourself, what standards you uphold and what things you say “no” and “yes” to.
But most importantly, it is determined by you.
We all put our sense of self-worth into something different, often splitting our worth into different houses.
Some of us put more of it in our ability to play video games, others in how many friendships they have, and again others put it in their looks.
What determines what you put your self-worth into?
That’s actually pretty simple to answer:
It is whatever you invest the most time, energy and effort into!
If you spend 2–3 hours every day getting ready for the day, buying clothes and looking up beauty tips and tricks in your spare time, then obviously this would be the biggest, most secure place to hold your self-worth, as you know a lot about it and are pretty good at “beauty”.
