What Makes A Gifted Individual?
Highly gifted people are so much like us that it is almost impossible to tell them apart from a normal person.
They have their own worries, make comparisons to people better than themselves and don’t realize themselves just how lucky they are.
Most of this comes from the fact that they never realized just how good they are as they are still always comparing.
Of course Einstein was extremely gifted, but if you put him up against the best physicists in the world, he may not be that much further ahead, especially not in every subarea of physics.
Of course Mozart was well above the norm, but if you put him up against Beethoven, Haydn and Bach he may not seem that talented anymore and would likely compare certain aspects against the aspects of his peers.
It’s all relative and the way they perceive themselves is extremely similar to how we perceive ourselves.
You could probably go up to them, tell them just how gifted they are, and they would look at you in disbelief, brush it off and probably wouldn’t take you seriously at all.
And the only signs you will see that even allow you to recognize how gifted they are show up only when you start getting to know them.
