When we then activate a thought we also activate what that thought is connected to.

For instance: If I say the cow goes…?

Your immediate response is not going to be “Quack”.

We know that this is followed by the word “Moo” and most of us immediately have thoughts activated surrounding this thought.

When we think of a cow we do not just think of the word on paper, but maybe of the animal itself, of the grass it is standing on, maybe some mountains in the background, the taste of milk, or the smell of grass.

Every thought we have activates the connected thoughts and what matters is what thoughts you connect to one another.

You can see this when you lie in bed or are resting on the beach.

Most of us get tired, lazy or unmotivated when we lie down, because we rarely do anything productive in that position.

When we sit at the dinner table we may crave food, when we sit at our desk at work we get that itching in our fingers to hit the keyboard, and when we see the beach we think of relaxation and bliss.

These are all associated ideas that have come from the experiences we have made and have formed into connections.
