Why Are Hurt People More Likely To Hurt Others?

You are walking through the woods.

It’s a relatively nice day, neither too hot nor too cold, with a comfortable breeze going by.

Your steps carry you deeper into the woods, not making a sound on the soft moss, before you notice a large creature stirring next to you.

Your heart stops for a moment as you recognize a large bear sniffing in your direction.

It notices you and lets out a loud and menacing roar, charging in your direction.

Your heart now pounds a hundred times faster than before and you grab onto the closest tree and begin to climb faster than you ever did before.

Whether that bear can climb this tree or not does not even enter your mind; in fact, no thought does.

You reach the first thick branch, barely escaping the reach of the bears claws that are already beneath you, and you look at it in fear.

The bear keeps growling at you, circling the tree, but it does not seem to want to climb up or break down the tree, and you soon understand why.

Its fur is stained red in a few spots, leading you to believe it just got out of some battle.
