Why Are People Not Content With Their Lives?
Did you really get what you wanted out of yourself?
You’ve always wanted someone else by your side, wanted more money in your bank account, wanted to be revered more at work and with your friends, wanted to travel the world and wanted to become your own hero.
But as soon as you saw the work that any of this involved you heaved with a heavy sigh.
The mountain in front of you seemed too looming to climb and you began justifying why staying at its base was good enough.
Most of the time people are not content with their lives because they settled for less than they truly wanted.
As they look back upon their lives they see countless missed opportunities at every step of the way and they begin to blame their past selves in order to avoid taking responsibility now.
Just they blamed the world before or the mountain of work, their motivation, drive, situation or anything else, all in order to avoid facing that mountain in front of them.
They are too comfortable at the bottom and do not want to lose that comfort, so they settle for something they never wanted.
The truth is that people are never content because they refuse to do the work required to get to what they truly want.
