Why Is Life Always So Stressful?

Life is not stressful! It only seems stressful because we force it to be.

Work is not stressful; well, at least not on it’s own.

It’s just sitting down and doing it; punching in the keys on the keyboard, lifting a hammer and slamming it down on a nail or sitting down and thinking about a possible solution to a problem.

Relationships aren’t stressful either.

You talk to your partner, let them know what you want, listen to what they want, and find a way to create an amazing life for both of you.

Why does that have to involve stress?

Whether it’s paying your bills, buying Christmas presents, finding a job, dating, exercising or getting up in the morning, the activities themselves are just that: Activities that you do or do not do.

None of that is really “Stressful”.

But that does not mean that stress does not exist.

Stress still finds a way into our lives because we put a lot of value on these activities.

We put importance on them, make them big, and give them a meaning beyond their original design.

We tie our work to our existence, our relationships to our happiness and our…
