Why People Are Still Being Lazy Even After They’ve Understood The Terrible Consequences

Because they are comfortable.

No one does something they do not think is worth it.

Yes, some people may still act and receive consequences that are not in their best interest, but they do not do this purposefully.

People are never trying to harm themselves!

We are all on our side!

Yet people still choose things that do not seem to be good for them because being lazy is so much more comfortable and so much easier!

We all choose the decisions we think are best at that current time in that current circumstance.

We pick what we want most or what we think will give us the most.

When you consume Television, video games or series you are allowing yourself to sit back and relax.

There is no pressure. There is no strain. It’s just easy.

This is what being unproductive gives us in that moment.

Because of this a lot of us decide to procrastinate a lot.

We consume and let the world around us just fall away.

But we do that only because we think it is the best thing to do, given what we know at the time.

When we were children we act the same way.

We do what is fun in the moment with no regard to the possible consequences.

The world around us falls away and we are solely focused on ourselves.

But at least we could say we didn’t know any better!

In adulthood, things changed.

While we understood that our actions have consequences we still tried our best to avoid looking at the consequences.

The problem was that we still knew, so we began to blind ourselves through procrastination.

We deafened ourselves to the consequences by drowning out the world around us.

What we do not understand is that this is also the best we knew how to do at that moment!

Understand that there is a difference between knowing something and truly understanding it.

Children know they cannot be mean to others, but they sometimes do not understand why, and so they do not act that way.

Adults are the same!

We know that we should be productive and not be lazy, but we do not truly understand the consequences of those actions so we’re not being productive.

Each and every one of us only does what they understand is best, not what they know is best.

We are not lazy because we want to harm ourselves. We are lazy because we do not understand.
