Why Some People Have Successful Careers But Lives That Are Falling Apart

You can have anything you want in life.
But you cannot have everything.

In our society, it’s not uncommon to strive for success.

The school system pushes us to do better, our family encourages successful behavior and every company and business wants you to strive so that they strive.

With all of this, it’s very common that people get obsessed about their own success.

Over the years they’ve heard all these amazing things about success and when people talked about success it always seemed like it was something that would round out life.

They adopted the belief that once they reached success, everything else would fall into place.

The problem with this is that success demands a lot of a person.

It demands more time and energy than we think at first.

However, we only have so much time and energy to freely give before we must make a cut somewhere else.

And now, answer me this:

If a person thought that, upon reaching success, everything else would fall into place, wouldn’t they be willing to give up everything to get there?

It’s not strange then that people put in every ounce of their being into reaching success.

After all, if they truly believe it will give them what they have been missing then why wouldn’t they?

The assumption is that whatever they sacrificed will be worth it in the end, so they do not even look back.

And it’s only those that eventually reach success that realize it wasn’t everything they were told it would be.

But at that point it’s often too late.

The sacrifices have been made and cannot be undone.

When you work for your own success, when you work to reach higher levels, you must think about what matters to you before you start!

The people that reach success at the sacrifice of their personal lives blindly trust what they’ve been told; often unconsciously.

They simply keep doing what they were taught, not once thinking about whether their actions make sense or lead them where they want to go.

They simply keep working.

If you do not want to feel the same regret they do when you finally reach that goal then consider what is worth sacrificing and what isn’t.

There are some things in life that aren’t worth the effort to keep, but others that are too precious to surrender. Find out what those are for you and mold your life into what you want it to be.
