Why You Are Getting Bored Of Everything You Do

At the beginning things are always fun because they are new.

It’s fresh, something you haven’t done before and every bit of progress in this new thing gives you a ton of positive reinforcement.

But as soon as the feeling of it being “new” disappears the thing becomes a lot less enjoyable.

Especially when it is a task you have to do, it now becomes something that you do without any desire attached to it and you get bored with it quite easily.

Naturally, you look for a new thing to do then. But when you find that new thing it doesn’t have quite the positive kick of the first one.

The more different things you have tried the more you will bind yourself to that initial high.

You get addicted to this high feeling and will always seek out that initial peak.

This happens in your job, where you are going to constantly look for a new place to work, in your relationships where you date a person for a month before moving on, and even in your habits where you will begin to quit most things after having done them for a week.
