Why Your Mind Is Controlling You

Our mind is like a machine.

It works based on programs that it learned over millions of years and just keeps cycling through the same procedures.

Every procedure is a series of thoughts that aligns in a slightly different way to give rise to other thoughts, emotions or actions.

In that sense, it is your thoughts that are controlling you.

For your mind controls everything you do.

It controls your breathing, your every action, and gives rise to every thought.

You have no control over this.

And even if we try to flip this around, it leads to the same conclusion.

For as soon as you try to be in control, as soon as you force a thought, that is your mind telling you to try and force that thought.

It’s the same as the debate of whether or not we have free will.

If destiny is a thing, then every one of your actions, even if it goes completely against everything else, will likely still be part of your destiny.

You have no control.

Then again… aren’t we our mind?

Maybe the mind is not a machine that just runs but a tool that we have learned to automate and that we can now use wherever we please.
