You Cannot Not Be Motivated: The Misconception About Your Lack Of Motivation

If you think your doing nothing has anything to do with motivation then you are on the completely wrong track!

Motivation has nothing to do with your current problem.

If we look at your current situation we can clearly see that you are motivated. You are motivated to sleep in, to do nothing and to avoid work at as many points as possible.

There is some driving force behind your actions; even if you do not want to see it that way you were always motivated to do what you’ve done.

There is no lack of motivation there.

And the reason for that isn’t because you look forward to sleeping in, staying in bed and doing nothing all the time; It is because you are more motivated to act on avoiding feeling negative than you are to do what you think you need to do.

You want to resist the work, the tasks ahead and anything that isn’t relaxing.

And most of it isn’t even about the work. It’s the thoughts that drive you to resist the things you need to do.

You are thinking too much about what you want to do, what you have to do and what you think you “should” do and this makes you quit before you even start.
